A recording of the small eiderbach brook flowing through the eiderbachtal in rhineland-palatinate. Occasional birdsong can be heard. The recording was taken at an idyllic spot where the small creek flows over pebbles and around rocks, in the dense vegetation of trees and bushes. The recording was made on 3th july 2022 at 11:40 am with my huawei p10 lite, no additional processing was applied.

Wine glass, tuned with water, rubbed with pressure in a circular motion to produce sustained distorted tone. Recorded with olympus ls-10 (no zoom) in a small reverberating bathroom, edited in audacity to make a seamless loop. The whole pack intended to be used as a virtual instrument. Note c#4 (root note c5, 440hz).

Ambient recorded before a fish auction at the fish market of gandia. You can hear fishermen talking and working. Also the electronic bids are being tested.

The sounds of a plastic bird toy, that you fill with water and then blow into to give the sound of a bird singing. Sounds surpisingly realistic considering it's just a plastic toy. Recorded in a small room in the tower of a castle. Sample also has a pretty heavy reverb added to it.

Standing on the dock at halesite marina in ny on the afternoon of 7/22/19. Sounds include: the movement of a floating dock, water splashing, boat motors, sailboat masts, an overhead airplane, distant voices, birds and seagulls, insects, and passing cars. This is the sound of silica gel (at least i think it is; it's a type of sand grains from the cat's litter bin, and the small crystal like rocks are supposedly silica gel) in water. Recorded with a hydrophone (aquarian audio h2a) into a zoom h4n.

I record this ambient before raining. You can hear crickets, dogs in distance, talking people from block of flat, little of rain and raindrops on window ledge. Recorded on tascam dr-60d with shure vp88 (m/s stereo).

This was recorded next to the shore of the tennessee river near savannah in west tennessee with a samsung galaxy phone. The video was poor quality however i used blender to separate the audio from the video. This was altered slightly with audacity to reduce the constant noise of a distant motor boat.

Recorded using the built-in mics of a zoom h4npro (2016 edition) @ 24bit. This is a small amount of liquid being poured into a drain about the size of a silver dollar. The original recorded captured the apartment's heating system. I used noise reduction, then normalized the waveform. This sound is free to use whenever and wherever.

A recording made near monument creek. I needed to block wind noise and so there are strange fluctuations with the eq, although maybe this is a feature and not a bug for someone out there. I walked away from the rapids until i was about twenty feet away. At one point, a helicopter passed over, and you may hear a motorcycle ride by.

I found this fairly small low area, in deep woods, with about 5 inches of water in it. I wouldn't really say it is a pond because it will probably be dry in a month or so after the spring rains. (i think ecologists would call this small body of water an "ephemeral" pond). These spring peepers were putting on quite a chorus as the sun was going down. You'll hear a different sounding frog - or peeper - several times in: at 9 seconds in, 13 seconds in and 15 seconds in. When i first heard it, it sounded like a creaky door! hope you find this fascinating and enjoyable as well. Would make a great soundtrack for a swampy piece. Recorded using my trusty rode ntg-2 going into a zoom h4n recorder.

Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. This is recorded at droescher's mill in cranford nj. The local dam used to power a waterwheel. The wheel is no longer in operation but it's still a nice relaxing spot. A little waterfall is in the foreground, a big waterfall (the dam) is in the background, and the sounds of traffic are audible faintly. Recorded on mid-summer (that looked like mid-autumn) day 2010 in vilnius with a simple olympus voice recorder. I placed an old piece of metal sheet on a broken glass fish tank near a garage wall to catch the drops, recorder was placed in the middle of the sheet. The rain was very light and fine, later it intensified and became lighter again - all this is heard in the recording. Unfortunately three recorder beeps are heard at the end signaling that it was running out of memory. I later decided to leave them in as it quite unexpectedly added some drama to the whole record. . .
